New Addition

Well I have took the plunge and added another member to our house. His name is Bentley and he is a pedigree fox red Labrador. He will be my first dog but not my other half as she has owned Labs before. First question is I am wanting to do some picking up with him and have him as my peg dog eventually. What would you suggest I buy in the way of dummies etc for the basic training/retrieval training? Got a couple of 1/2lb dummies on there way but what else will I need.  Just to help people reply, here is a picture of him at 4 weeks (we pick him up in 4 weeks also)

A dummy will be fine but dont overdo it. Basic stuff in the beginning......dont even look at it as training just more of a game. Let the pup be a pup. Serious stuff can come later....

a sock for retrieving, whistle and a light lead mate and just have fun with your pup. he just needs to get used to basic obedience and get him well socialised but let him be a baby and make it all a game

yea that is my plan, just really simple retrieves with lots of reward, same with recall and sit work. I really cant wait

Just bought both the mullenscote dvds, i have met howard and he was very good. Dvds look good as well.
