I know how you feel mate, my two have it, they are bedded on shredded paper, are fed a complete dog food with fresh minced beef in it daily, wormed flead etc etc, and they still have it.

The rest of them is shining with condition, have tried camrosa, nu stock etc but still no good, it doesn't bother them and its not red or inflamed or anything at all, but it dont half piss me off, it looks as though they dont get looked after !!

If you find a treatment mate, dome a favour and drop me a pm, thanks. If i find one in the meantime i'll pm you.

Good luck

I had this trouble and searched about and tried almost evrything and for the last 6 months i have been giving mine kelp powder/tablets and the hair has grown back really really well, you have to remember to give it everyday or else it won't work and i have taken them off the kelp for a few weeks and you can tell as the hair disappears again. Mine are treated for fleas every 6-8 weeks or so with either stronghold or advocate but that never made a difference to hair growth. Hope this helps. Atb.

Hair loss is often caused by a mineral deficiency: Kelp contains all 37 minerals needed by the body. I have a bitch whose coat goes dreadful unless she gets Kelp a couple of times a week, and that is even being fed a very varied raw diet with plenty of veg. Steamed nettles, and raw minced spinach is also good for the skin and coat. Likewise Cleavers (Goosegrass) mince up well and add to feed.

sea kelp does the job as well

It's the same thing!

People go on about getting everything we and our dogs need from a well balanced diet. The problem is that the earth is over cultivated, cattle and many sheep graze on impoverished land which has all the minerals leached out of it either from rainfall or over grazing etc and non-organic farming methods. Minerals get washed down to the sea via the rivers and water courses.............which the marine plants take up, which means that most sea plants are rich in minerals and trace elements which are lacking in land grown plants.
