Rodge86 2
Hi I have a hawke varmint 2 (scope) and I am having to re-zero it on a daily basis now. Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it time for a new 1. Atb rodge. Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Sounds like the scope has expired, how old is it? Hawke warranties are quite long! Quote Link to post
Rodge86 2
I thought it might be. I don't know how old it is as it was on the gun when I bought it. I quite like the look of the sidewinder 30 haha Atb Rodge Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
what gun is the scope on a spring gun or unregulated pcp .A spring gun could be shaking your scopes guts that have come loose .An unregulated pcp has a power curve are you allowing for. Quote Link to post
Rodge86 2
It's on a pcp bud. I think it is defo the scope as its not just going up and down it's all over the show at the min. It used to be spot on it's only f** ked up this weekend. I guess it has just died and time for a shiney new one. I like the look of the new hawke sidewinder 30. But I will have a look round til I get my tax back then off to Blackpool air rifles :-) Atb Rodge Quote Link to post

barrywhite 282
Are the turrets on the scope tight. I had a scope that the turrets were held by a screw .The screw came loose the gun started shooting bad .Then the screw came out to late .If I had noticed the loose screw I may have tightend it up .are your lenses tight sometimes the ring that holds them comes loose.Have you knocked the end of your barrel or damaged the crown in any way. Have you tryed cleaning your barrel. Is your guns power consistant.. Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
Is your barrel held tight in your action . Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Most airgun scopes shift their zero due to changes in temperature, from cold open air in the fields to warm central heating indoors afterwards and back out the next day; causing the metals to expand and contract and thus, shift zero off kilter. If your scope holds its zero and is fine all the shooting day. This could be what you are experiencing. ATB Simon Edited March 28, 2012 by pianoman Quote Link to post
Rodge86 2
I don't know what's up with it pal. I was having to re-zero the scope after every 5 pellets or so. I took it apart and broke it good and proper haha. Time for a new one now. Just need to have a look around for a new one. Atb Rodge Quote Link to post
