Leamo 7
I have just recently bought a cz452 varmint .22 lr, I'm well happy with it and found eley subs make this gun shoot a dream. EXCEPT! The trigger it's lousy and need the strength of a tug of war team to actually fire the bloody thing. I have just bought a yodave trigger kit off of eBay, are they any good and what are they like to fit? I no your thinking dick head should have asked before the purchase but as they say hindsight is a wonderful thing. Cheers Quote Link to post

Cheers dead easy to fit, just make sure you test it by smacking the but with a rubber mallet before putting a round in it just encase youve set it to light they make a big diffence to the gun totally transforms it imho. Leamo 7
Thanks that's a good piece of advice wouldn't have thought of doing it myself. It's a shame it has to be done at all really bcause for the money I don't think you can go wrong. Quote Link to post
optelic2 48
The trigger on my old brno model 2 was very stiff when i bought it all i did was to trim a couple of coils off the trigger spring and its now fine didnt need a trigger kit. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
Better with a kit, It does more than change the pull, it also elimates "creep" giving a very crisp snappy feel to the trigger and it improves lock time (IMO) not always though. "trimming" the spring will only effect the weight of pull. Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,935
Mucho safer,,and also reversible Quote Link to post
mjr88 50
Hi Leamo I bought the exact same gun 5 years ago and i can't say that i have ever had any problems with the cz's standard trigger. I did however just out of curiousity adjust the trigger spring to it's lightest setting, but to be honest i didn't really notice much difference with the result. As for creep, yes i suppose there is a small amout, but not nearly enough for me to fit a replacement trigger. Maybe if i was in a club and used the rifle for target shooting i would give a new trigger unit a try, but out in the rough and tumble of the field i like to know that any accidental rounds being fired off are far less likely to happen, due to messed about with sears or any other tampering. In my personal opinion there is a reason why most standard stock triggers are so called STIFF to pull, and we all know what that is don't we, Safety. Maybe i was just lucky with my Varmint eh, great gun for the money, Regards, John Edited March 25, 2012 by mjr88 Quote Link to post

Leamo 7
Hi John, I agree about excellent for the money really is a nice rifle with a smooth bolt action in my opinion. I agree with all you guys on the safety aspect that's obviously priority number one. I thought the trigger may ware in a little but it hasn't happened. Took my brother out today shooting some targets and on his first shot thought he had the safety on it's that bad. I'll wait for the kit and see what it achieves if anything, happy hunting all. I suppose you only have 2 options to sort the problem. Option one is to have the standard trigger checked out by a qualified gunsmith (if you're not confident yourself) or option 2 is to have the whole unit changed, like you probably will anyway. Good luck with the gun and let us know how you get on with this problem, John Edited March 26, 2012 by mjr88 Quote Link to post
