I lost my nan just before last christmas after a long battle with cancer, over 15 years she battled with bowl, breast, lung and brain cancer.Tough lady but her health deteriorated so quick in her final months, along with her sanity.

she's in a better place now though, where ever that mayy be!

tbh i wasent as close to her as i should of been, but a great loss all the same, thats the thing with famly we never no how much we care till they have gone,so my advise is f**k past shit you may have had with famly members and get over it,we only have one famly and should love them and look after them no matter what silly petty arguments we have with them Edited by tb25

My nan on my mums side has always been a second mother to me mate. I spent a big part of my childhood living with her and my grandad and I don't know what I'd have done without them. My grandad passed away doing his gardening back in '03, and my nan has just turned 80. I love nothing better than sitting with her and talking about the way things used to be and the changes she's lived though. It's going to be real tough when the day comes and she's no longer with us. :(

My other nan died when I was 16. I didn't know her as well because my mum and dad split up when I was very young, but I spent many an afternoon watching westerns in her company! :D:thumbs:

CHerish every moment mate. I lost my Gran in 2004. And wished I'd spent more time with her.
