Hello from Pianoman to my great friends here.

Dear lads.

I've been absent a fair while from here as, I've been going through serious shit but, hey, that's getting put away now. i just want to post a very heartfelt and sincere note of thanks to those of you who sent me such kind messages. I'm with a very beautiful lady called Helen down here in Wiltshire, who supports my shooting (Most important ) and I still have all my rifles and scopes after a not very pleasent break-up with my ex!

I still do not have a computer but that should be resolved soon-ish. So apologies that I have not been able to answer spring rifle shooting queries from some of you.

Hopefully, will be back on operations soon as!

Thanks for the great friendships you've all shown me here! You lot are the nicest best shooters I've met!

Simon

Now there you go. Just what I'm talking about with you lads here! Well, Helen is no shooter but, she's fully understanding and appreciative why we shoot and the sport we derive from our hunting. She lives in Chippenham-I'm there now on her laptop; and when I get things fully turned around, I will be moving down here and sorting a house and new art studio out and live happy ever after! I'll have a word with my landowner mate so Andy (FR1968) will "inherit" my permission...and I still have some shooting when I return to Yorkshire from time to time.

I've been trying to keep out hunting on my permission in West Yorkshire with my beloved HW77 .22 Full-Length rifle. Still haven't found another spring rifle that can actually outperform and beat it for shot-to-shot consistent accuracy and she'll match a £1,000-plus PCP anytime. Not many rabbits about but, quite a few Squirrel in the woods and forest around!

I've got my beautiful pair of HW80s and my TX200HC .177 needing re-springing (Thanks Andy!) and I should be fully armed up again soon. We'll definately make all efforts to get out and about with you at shooting meets and a visit to meet with Festa and Marksman on their permission has to done this summer!

I'm so well served with .22 I'm thinking of getting my HW80K carbine converted from .22 to .177, with a new barrel and spring this year. And a .177 HW77 with a lush walnut stock is my next planned aquisition. With a bit of tuning and tweaking, I reckon that would provide me with a bloody ultra-amazing all-round sporting rifle that'll tackle anything required of it.

I'd love a L/H Prosport .177 but, the Weihrauch HW77 rifle is a true masterpiece of simple, uncomplicated precision. It really is that brilliantly good.

A walnut Stutzen stock for one; with the forends screw-secured to the sight/lock-up block....what about that then Gurtwurz me darlin' lad! :hmm::boogy:

Have a great Spring and Summer ahead my bonnie lads, with whatever you shoot.

oh now that sounds really nice (you lucky b*****d!!)

tried sorting a synthetic stutzen for the pro sport recently, but it didnt work in the end :cray: so i'd really like to see that when you've done it. are you going to the meet in june simon, if necessary i can divert en route and give you a lift up mate( means i can have a go on your '77 though :hmm: )

glad things is on the up mate,

all the very best, wurz
