Im 26 and dont own a bull x , my mate is young and a bit gullible tbh but the lad who sold him the dog is supposedly a good dog man , i havent been in the game long its mine and my dogs first season , hence my lacck of experience , i know enough to keep my kennels in order though and wouldnt ever buy shit , pups from proven workers would be all id buy and when i say pup i mean pup anything over 12 wks is a no go for me

Do you not think of the poor pup that would have to raise this litter walshy? Give your head a shake, rescue centres are full of dogs to rehome for people who just want a pet without adding to that number.

 

Yeh but it could also go the other way and ruin the bitch loosing her pups? It shouldnt of happend but surely they deserve a chance ??

 

The bitch will get over it, she's a pup, how could she be mentally mature enough to be a mother let alone physically. No offence meant walshy but dogs end up in rescue because people think like you when accidental litters are created. And most of the time the pups will end up on the merry go round.

Shame that, gonna be hard on the bitch bein a pup heself an having a litter, personaly I would grit my teeth, cull all the pups bar one and let the remaining pup take the milk and give the young bitch somethin to focus on. But once the pup was of age to be weaned I would probably cull that an all depending on wether I would want to risk running it on or not.... might sound harsh but thats how I would deal with it. Definately wouldnt be thinking pet homes.

you will have to feed the bitch special supplements, a bitch that young that has pups will lose a lot of strength in her bones and it could be for life. I reckon cull all the pups bar one to keep the bitch from getting mastitis, then cull the pup when it's weaned.

it happened to me, was given a terrier bitch by a supposed terrierman! after a few weeks she started showing so phoned him up to ask what the craic was. anyway he told me a good dog may have got into to her, i waited to see what she'd throw and 3pups arrived 2 choc and 1 black. after a couple of weeks i new the craic!! he also kept gundogs chocolate in colour . pups were culled and bitch went on to be a great little earth dog. all of this could have been sorted with a quik visit to the vets for a jab!!!
