micckey 106
you can but try,,,so long as your happy with dogs, thats all that matters Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
I will admit I bred from a bitch sooner then most because she was a one off,as in the only bitch from a never repeated mateing. she turned out to be a good working bitch, so nothing lost.pity she didnt produce anything remotly as good as herself or the stud dog used..thats the pitfalls of breeding.and it was a close linebred mating. Big bald beautiful 1,231
Regarding the post/question then earth dogs. I didnt post to stare shit up, just like peoples ideas. Regarding breeding for work there are many many more with greater knowledge then me.i looked at it simply mate worker to worker and fingers crossed. Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
There are lines banded about but realy are they worth the paper there often not wriiten on..lol Most must be diluted,or have different dogs, outcrosses added? Quote Link to post
dixiebop 125
every mating is a gamble, some hold good hands some don't .all that can be asked.is that outcome is a Honest deal,an you walk away from the table Happy. Quote Link to post
moonlighter 1,164
People x different breeds all the time let alone lines, and they produce good workers. Like crossing a good black terrier with a good Lakeland. Quote Link to post
Big bald beautiful 1,231
They do but is it more of a gamble? Always told "keep the lines close", outcross never........... Quote Link to post
danny300 2,240
always had worker to worker its the chance you take with every pup. once both parents are doing what they are bred for that is all that matters. jmho danny Quote Link to post
