could have been though to be honest i was in the woods so possibly anything could have done it, its surrounded by barbed wire and if the thing he was after was true to form it would have been in and out the bramble along the fence line.

the stitches are fine, theres no infection and hes back next week to have them out, ive been giving him a couple of miles on the roads and hes fine, just panting like a train due to the painkillers but he had the last one today, so will know more tommorrow after hes been walked.

I took insurance out the other year there and it's paid for itself already, had 3 claims to date one for each dog, 1st was £380 2nd was £420 and most recent was £727, the first two where within the first year, intact the first was within 2 weeks of opening policy! I'm something like £33 for the 3 of mine it was £28 before the first two claims, the older the dog the higher the policy, £60 excess, best thing I've ever done and could've save a fortune if I had done so earlier.

Never looked into it myself cause 4 dogs times £10-15 quid is too much cash a month. So ive had to hope for the best and so far ive been lucky with no injuries. I always thought you had to have your dog chipped when you got insurance as it would be easy to insure one dog and if another uninsured dog got hurt what is stopping you saying its the insured one?

cost me £31 a month to insure my AB!!!with direct line wish id have said he was a cross absolute joke but covers him for life,need it due to hip problems as most suffer this when older and it cost 1000s to operate on them trying to keep him lean less stress on the joint ect when hes older.when you have a dog this size the vets take the piss with the prices of tablets ect gangsters they are!!

23 quid with petplan covered for life upto 4000 per problem per year feel a bit robbed now lol.

we got a rescue AB and insurance was same as any other dog through petplan ,we got her insured and then straight to vets for some nasty lumps removing from her belly that were sent off for testing etc paid the excess and save a fortune .

Well this is the first time i have ever got a dog insured..it only cost me £8.40 a month..i just wish i had done it year's ago with my other dog's it would of saved me thousand's..

 

is it insured as a pet dog as it were or do they ask questions about it being a worker of any sort cheers

All mine are insured. Its a hefty whack every month but worth it, at least two of them wouldnt be the same dogs if they werent insured. It has paid out £1000's in repair bills over the years, there would have been no way I could have afforded to pay that kind of money at short notice.

im lucky my vet is cheap, prices in uk must be mental, had a dog hit by a car she had no visible injurys and was given steroids, antibiotics and painkillers and it was a sat or sunday night 25euro

another time had a beast with fractured skull; stitches, steroids, painkillers, antibiotics 35euro

for what it costs me to have my animals treated by the vet it aint worth my while insureing them
