nealey 0
Lads, just had some bad news about murphy this week. To cut a sory short, he's 8 months old now and still can't hold his pee, he's peeing every 2 hours. tuesday i took him to the vets to have him check out, put me mind at rest. After a urine test and blood test they shown he's got kidney problems, so he's had a injection to try and put things right, if it works he will have to have the injection every 6 weeks, if it don't work, well there's nothing else to do, so at the moment things are hanging on a thread. I'll keep you informed, Cheers. Edited May 6, 2007 by nealey

Guest MOLLY
My vets have just told me the best thing for kidney trouble is a low protien diet. If you are feeding barf it may be better to stay away from red meat and use chicken or white fish? Good luck with him, he's a lovely looking lad. MOLL.
shell 42
What sort of kidney problem has the pup got? Just wondering cos my lurcher had a problem with struvite crystals a few years ago (they go on to form kidney stones) and we had her on medication and feed from the vets that was costing us £200 a month to keep it at bay. Anyway, after much research on alternative remedies, we found that giving her Vitamin C tablets daily it sorted her kidney bother out right away (also tried Couchgrass tablets and Thlaspi Bursalis - homeopathic - both worked). She's never had bother since. Just a thought depending on the actual problem he has. Might not be of any use this, but thought I'd share with you. All the best with him, hope he's ok. nealey 0
Found out the problem seems to be his kidneys are undeveloped, its a week now since the injection & he's not improved none, injection should have kicked in within 2 to 3 days. I'm going to take him back vets either today or monday to see what, if any offer option there is, but to honest it don't look good. Let you know how things go.
