cow hocked

I think you mean cow HOCKED. It deals with the fact the legs are not "straight". Movement, speed and agility will require more effort and be less effective than a dog with better structure. Essentially when viewing the dog from the rear while it is standing, the hocks (what looks like an elbow) will point or curve outward. The opposite condition, that joint curving inward is sickle hocked.

Unless a working or performance dog, it is not likely to be problem if that is all that is wrong

thanks for that rio but iv never seen a cow with it elbows pointing out so someone has made a blunder with naming this condition cow hocked

im sure we will get someone on mate who keeps cows an dogs i hope but i know bull terriers are cow hocked an there turned in

do a search mate there was a tread on this a week ago :thumbs:

alan was that the one about the lad had the dog an was thinking of breeding of it,,,,,i should hav red it an heres me with the same problem

if you look at photos of these show bred alsations there f,,ked with cow hocks so its in the breeding in there case

my da use to bred them an your right i think il give this one a bye ball ( it was a bitch i was looking at )
