investments savings what if --

Recommended Posts

Not to make light of it as i admire anyone who can work a pound note.........but say you make your 30 quid on this fishing pole, are you taking into account travelling time to the auction/boot sale, the time you spent looking around for it,the time its going to take to advertise/be at home when the person comes round to buy it........probably comes out about the same hourly rate you could of got working in Mcdonalds......all that sort of game is probably nice if you have a passion for it and see it as a hobby/interest.....but the minute you see it as work is the minute you cant afford to make mistakes and then its not quite so enjoyable.

Money dont necessarily bring enjoyment or a fulfilled life.....different experiences do.

I have a full-time job, my mrs works on the weekend so I have bugger all else to do on a Sunday morning. I see it more as a good excuse for a walk if nothing else, since I can't have a dog due to my hours. But it is a fair point, but I bought the rod because I have a mate who loves Daiwa and I can drop it off next time I pop over. But when i start doing auctions etc and spend a few hundred instead of the odd tenner, that is sound advice which I will factor in to any decisions

(edit to add, walking around a field is definitely more enjoyable than Mcdonalds!)

No way I would put it into any type of bank or pension, they can devalue these at any time and nic your money.....just trade with it, they can't devalue stock if you buy it right.

Forget all that bollox, the smart money is in WAR, it's easy, just pick a small nation thats rich in natural resources, fund and arm a group of rebels to overthrow the existing leader, stick your own chosen puppet in, in their place then rip the back out of their resources for pennies on the pound.

With 40k you might have to start with a small rural village in Devon though.  :icon_eek:

Believe me it's impossible anymore....

WHY??? Because every country that's got resources is being quietly raped by one of the superpowers as we speak :whistling:

Check out the Colombian oil market :whistling:

BP sold its concessions in country to the national company to pay for the Gulf of Mexico clean up, so as soon as production starts the profits will be huge

If you want to make a quick buck then BP wont be volatile enough imo, buying when they were at rock bottom would have worked. I buy at dips and sell on peaks (usually) lol. You need a share thats up and down more than a whores knickers and buy when you reckon they wont go much lower! Ive made a good lump in the space of a day this way.
