Mawders 595
Hey all, looking for some advice please. I currently shoot a SuperTEN and use AA field diablo in .22 5.52 as these pellets have done me well in springers before. However the group I get at 30 yards ain't that great with them in my newly acquired S10. Now I hear BSA barrels like the larger pellet so what should I try and where do people order them from online? Was thinking of trying some H&N Field target trophy pellets. But at £10 or there shouts a tin I can't really afford to keep buying different pellets. I just want a good pellet that groups well and is good for hunting those bunnies and squirrels. Any recommendations? Quote Link to post

Mawders 595
RWS super fields hey? Never thought of them to be honest. Always thought they were cheapy pellets. Might buy some, are they 5.52 head size? Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
in my bsa lightning xl .177 air arms and field target trophy both group roughly the same at about 20 yards. havent tested them further than that pal. killed plenty of squirrels and rabbits with both pellets. quality wise id say the standard of the air arms is slipping tho, had a lot more bent skirts, hardly any in the ftts.. hope this helps Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I recommend the Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum, 14.3 grain, accurate as heck in a BSA (wife uses them in her Ultra, I used them in a Super 10 and an Ultra too)! They don't seem to deform prior to use as readily as other makes and they come in a damned sensible screw lid tin. ASI International import them, you can phone them up to find an RFD near you who stocks them. We pay under £9 per tin of 500! Edited March 19, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
That's the other main reason I want rid of the air arms pellets as I have bought 3 Tina of them in the past two months and it's hard to find a pellet in the tin that isn't deformed. Some of them are really bad. Thought it may have been a bad batch but all three tins are from different shops so I think it's just the quality to expect from them now! Quote Link to post
Elmer_Fudd 28
I will be getting some pellets to try the weekend in my ultra, thinking of going with the superfield or JSB exact!!! Gaz Quote Link to post
