anti bark shock collar

i have a male lurcher here he is 7 months old. when he is left alone he barks like mad. i am think of getting one of these anti bark shock collars but dont want to ruin the dog what are your views on these thanks alot snatch

rather than the shock collar, you could try the collar that gives a citrus spray when the dog barks. some on here have tried and swear by them.

Yep I remember reading a post last month or so about someone who bought one of the cheap ones of eBay he said it was really good, I can't remember if he had shock or spray type tho. I did here that the spray ones punish the dog in the wrong way tho because the smell lingers on them as aposed to the shock type witch doesn't punish them any longer than the bark lasts.

look on ebay they have one on there £4.99 posted my mate is using them on his spaniels and they are brilliant fair play

Put a mikki muzzle on him..they can still drink water through them but can't bark loud.

you can also get one that makes a really loud noise when the dog's barking but at a pitch only dogs can hear. i'm not a fan of the citronella ones either for the same reason as above.
