patterdalejoel 669
thats crazy! makes me look a bit pathetic hoping to catch a few bunnies with my little beddy whippet next season and your hunting lions in america... looks like my ancestors chose the wrong country to stay in...... 1 Quote Link to post
jawn 449
Nahh it ain't like that. You guys on that side of the pond are the reason any of us are hunting with terriers. I was givin some of you a hard time the other day over the pit vs the staffy knowing full well that there wouldn't be one without the other. Truth be told my favorite line goes straight back to em. Jagds are the same story. You guys set a hell of a foundation. I would love to have access to some of the dogs you have on that side of the pond.lol OBTW I will be right there with you chasing those bunnies. I enjoy it as much as anything! Penda 3,341
if it werent for this country giving birth to half of the working dog breeds i think there would be hardly any most came from us and when our ancestors spread out and colonised they took there faithful hounds with them 1 Quote Link to post
jawn 449
Even if this were true... it could be argued that nearly an equal number have been ruined. But the same could be said of many countries. In my oppinion it isn't the country as much as it is the show ring responsible for for ruining the work of our ancestors regardless of where they came from. Mosby 355
That's pretty cool Jawn. I gave a fell to one of my hound buddies and she made it to countless cat and lion trees. One day the lion jumped tree and ran to another. When my friend looked to see it go up he noticed a big ball of something connected to the lion. He thought maybe the lion was carrying game it had caught and that's why it went up so fast. He saw the thing fall and make a splash so he hurried to the tree to see his fell swimming back to shore. She had latched onto that lion and went up the tree with it. The cat must have been thinking he'd never seen ticks so big. 1 Quote Link to post
