Jonezy 7 Posted March 17, 2012 Report Share Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) Cost me about £50/£60 to make, frame cost £20 alone, made out of strong wood i used: 2x2 wood for the frame, in 5ft lengths, £2.25 a piece needed about 15/17 of them, 8x4 ply wood for the floor only 5mm thick but doubled it up to make it 10mm 5x5 OSB board for the back, 19mm 4x4 OSB boards for the sides only 9mm Doors are made from OSB Roof is made from 12mm Ply wood, felted as well. Mesh cost around £10 for the doors first ever attempt at making a cage gonna be a double one, need to finish the bottom off, built out of good strong wood roof felted, back it 19mm sides are 12mm, not chipboard its osb, looks ok for a first attempt baring in mind im only 17 and first ever go at making some thing like this i think i did a ok job of it lol Edited March 17, 2012 by Jonezy 3 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Make sure you give it a few coats of exterior wood protection, the type you do fencing with will do fine. Will last you years then. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
