a went on my new permission last week and its full of young rabbits think a shound leave it for a while or keep hammer it every set a did we had to dig...... :-((

It's more or less the end of the season now so i'd leave it. Ruining next seasons sport if you carry on mate.

Is the farmer wanting rid of them

i was out today on the high fell's. farmer called last week sayin he hadnt seen us in a while[ we were there at the end of january''lol' any way went today took shotgun and ferrets. we got 21 rabbits and a rook. only dug once to the ferret had 2 bottled up''all the other were bolted and shot. no sign of young un's up there. but when we gutted the rabbits before we left a few were fulla kits. we were gonna leave the place till the end of summer. but the phone call made us put in an appearance. worked out well we got talkin to a farmer on the other side of the valley, and blagged his land aswell.

As said it all depends on the land owner they want rid you've got to go out you can still get a nice bag and leave the rest to do what rabbits do best . or if your farmers okay you can leave them . But theres more than ferreting to keep a farmer sweet

 

Even after we have finished ferreting next month we still let the farmers see us out lamping etc more so in August as it helps us keep the permissions

That's what we do we just go there to take dogs out and catch what's sitting about, we also do the stone walls aswel
