what crop ?

hi lads im just wondering can you decoy pigeons in a normal grass field ? if not what would be the best sort of crop or drilling to decoy pigeons on ?

I've had some pretty good days decoying pigeon to pasture. No clover either, just a standard U shape pattern close to a flight line and they divert to at least 'have a look'.

Quite rare that they land though, and you tend to have to get crossers rather than those committing to land which makes for more challenging shooting (and more enjoyment when you've got your eye in).
