As above folks, looking into the possibility of buying one locally i've seen for sale.

Looking for a few pointers really.

hard buisness now with the internet mate, loyal customers and good bait is the only thing that keeps them coming through the doors, having your own water also helps running matches leauges etc. my mate owns one he also does chimney sweeping and propertly development just to keep it all going

Mr Storer ??

Ones just shut down in my town that had been on the go for 40 years and the chap who owned it said the internet selling cheaper tackle was hard to compete with and most of his profit was in baite pluss jumped up fekin traffic wardens hovering around the shop waiting for drivers then giving them a ticket if they had only parked up for ten minuetes to get baite as well as the fekin council not doing him any favours with exstortinate rate rises forceing him to shut down as they wanted every fekin shop on the road to be a forighn takeaway.

a friend of mine was making a small living out of his tackle shop and had to sell online to keep his head above water. he knew he had to diversify so made a small section selling hydroponic growing systems, accessories, and souvenier cannabis seeds, all perfectly legal. this was 2 years ago, he now has a second shop, double the staff and 6 holidays a year! dont limit yourself to just anglers,he gets all walks of life shopping now, including screws and coppers lol!
