jayjay 264
Which beach was that Jai? at a guess.........i'd say merthyr mawr......ogmore,???? just a bit of advice jai, unless you already know, be careful down around there when the weather starts to warm up, supposed to be alot of adders there, and you would'nt want the dog getting involved with them while he's hunting about. all the best, jay. Rake aboot 4,936
Nice one Jai. Looks very like the dunes we have down at Gullane, and Yellowcraigs in East Lothian,, the dogs love it down there, and getting them in the sea is benificial for them I reckon. Looks like a great day Tell Mary I like her hat !!,, Ah kindae understand how she liked mine now !! Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
whats up with his neck? has he got a skin condition? It's a combination of his loose collar rubbing up and down as he runs, and him pulling on the slip when i put the beam on To be honest it's annoying, cos like you, a lot think its some kind of skin condition, but his coat is excellent. bryson 562
great pics mate i enjoy letting the dog hunt the dunes when they do get a run i think they have to work a little bit harder to get on terms with the rabbit so its great exercise Quote Link to post

Do you leave his collar on all the time? My whippets neck started to go a little like that so I stopped using a collar for a while and it sorted It out. Quote Link to post
rob190364 2,594
nice pics pal, can't beat a non-summer stroll on the beach with the mutt, nice and quiet and proper relaxing.....always f'cked at the end of the day though, all that sea air. As moll says, some of those pics are class, worthy of being blown up and framed! Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
Cheers all! Bryson - you are right from what i have seen mate, just like us, the dogs weight, makes running through sand harder than running on grass etc, whereas the rabbits fly over it, also turning is more difficult. Joball - I do now take the collar off in the house and about the yard, but i always hunt/run him with it on, he gets so many cuts to his face and shoulders, it gives the neck a little protection. He is also the kind of dog you need to hang on to / pull off some things. Rob - the beach in winter is one of my favourites, more so when it borders some kind of rough land / mountain, and aye, i was shagged at the end of the day. nl - As little as i possibly can mate to be honest, especially these days, as i know they are sacking me in september.
