andy p 32
Went out the other day and noticed that one of my jills had a big swelling on top ov her head it felt like it was full of fluid so a trip to the vet was in need, the vet gave her an antiinflamitry jab and an antibiotic jab and 5 days of antibiotics . I've never had any problems in the past like this has any one else had this problem the swelling is still there after 3 days Quote Link to post

rob190364 2,594
Whether it's true or not I don't know, but I had a jill that kept getting them when I was a kid, I was told it was because I was giving her too many eggs and too much liver so presumably it was a too protein rich diet? That was all I fed her on! (young and didn't know any better ) I switch to tinned cat meat and she stopped getting them. Not saying feed cat food, but it's worth looking at how much liver/eggs etc. you're giving her? Quote Link to post

The one 8,481
Years ago i had a ferret with a abscess on her neck vet just took a scalpel blade and lanced it shit came out nurse left the room heaving , a antibiotic injection and off home .I was scared the rest would keep licking it and it wouldn't close but that's the best thing apparently letting it close from the inside Quote Link to post
