littlefish 586
I had a terrier of 12 weeks break its hock. It was splinted (which the pup promptlty removed each time) and restricted to cage rest for several weeks. It healed perfectly and she has never really had a lame day since. She is 11 now and still runs everyhere at full speed! Looking back, the cage rest was important, don't be in too big a rush to get it off the lead and back in action. Good luck! Quote Link to post

killa-combo 142
Good news for my pup today the break has made a good heal and isnt far from sorted, still to be kept on the lead for another week two 30 min walks a day to harden the muscle in the leg, she can go back into the kennal but ive dicided to keep her caged until the weekend to be sure, vet said its healing very fast with her being so young and should be good again in two weeks time, just gona take it easy until im sure myself, better safe than sorry Quote Link to post

Ginny Spinner 455
One of your grey's had a similar injury round about the time we had Nikey and Lewis, was it the crash or westmead pups, excuse me if i'm wrong for some reason i'm thinking it was one of them? How did that pup turn out? And was it visible to see the injury? The pup i seen today seemed ok very lively and jumping about, with just a slight limp, only been over a week aswel? So hopefully not as bad as the vets made out? Fingers crossed. Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
She is healing well as stated.. so none of the technical stuff is needed in this case..good reading all the same.. @Max Edited March 21, 2012 by Millet Quote Link to post
