Elmer_Fudd 28
Hello people, I have been doing my head in for the last few 'Plinkings' as i have an old FN19, shooting RWS Super Domes, producing a good group at 25 m (uk 5 pence peace covers it) But I seem to loose zero on the rifle, ever time I am having to dial the scope back in?... My thinking is one of the following: 1, could it be the pellets bedding into the barrel? 3, am I zeroing the gun at the wrong time IE as at 190 bar, as in is the power curve throwing the zero around. 4, is the scope nakard? Once the zero is set however the gun shoots well, ok its not pellet on pellet like EG HW100, or R10 so forth but it is a cracking tool for the age and price I paid... help ATB GAZ Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
What pressure are you starting out at? When does the group tighten up? What pressure range is the sweet sector on YOUR rifle (only one way to find that out - by trial). On my Rapid, shooting from 180 bar - 110 bar the shots are consistent and all within a pellet diameter of each other. If I pressure up to 200 bar the first handful can be as much as 2" out. Without changing anything, if I continue to shoot, as the pressure comes to 180 bar, they are bang on again - it is purely down to the pressure being too high. Quote Link to post
Millet 4,497
I had similar trouble with my S410 a while back i changed the scope's removed the silencer even the batch of pellet's i was using..but as soon as i give the barrel a good clean the problem was solved.. Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Try another scope I did once have one day where I couldn't hit jack! (I really wasn't happy but he was pleased) seriously, my targets were 4 or 5 inch card targets and I couldn't hit them  where as the day before I could easily deliver a 5.52mm butt plug in a woodies ass! Eventually gave up, went home, cleaned barrel, checked scope, checked EVERY FECKING THING, Began a strip down then realised that it was a single nut on the stock that was loose! Tightened it up again and back to pellet on pellet! Fickle things our lil babies Tony Quote Link to post
