AlbertJ 569
We are inviting show organisers throughout the UK and Ireland to apply for qualifiers for two exciting international lurcher championships that are being repeated this year at the Great Game Fairs of Ireland. The Master McGrath Racing Challenge taking place at Irish Game Fair at Shanes Castle, Antrim on the 7th July. The race is run over 150 yards and the winner takes away a prize fund of £500 plus other prizes at least to the value of £1,000 - however prizes are still coming in and this is likely to top last year's prize fund of over £1500 cash & prizes. All qualifiers get a limited edition & coveted Master Mc Grath cap and scroll. qualifiers coming from the UK get cheap travel and a donation towards their travelling & accommodation expenses. This day also hosts the All Ireland lurcher, whippet and terrierchampionship racing and on the following day the show also hosts the All Ireland Terrier & Lurcher Show Championships so this really is Ireland's largest lurcher, terrier and whippet weekend. Two dogs over and Under 23" qualify from each show. The Five Nations Lurcher Show Championships taking place at the Irish Game & Country Fair at Birr Castle, Co Offaly on Sunday 28th August. Once again the winner takes away a prize fund of €500 cash plus other prizes at least to the value of £1,000 - however prizes are still coming in and this is likely to top last year's prize fund of over €1500 cash & prizes. With racing on the previous day this is the largest lurcher, terrier and whippet weekend in the Republic of Ireland.
