silly dog, chasing rabbits . i heard a howl and she came running out covered in blood, washed her down and found this. luckily vet has said no damage to lungs or bone just muscle

not sure there was no fragments in it so vet thinks metal object of some description. it could have been so much worse

vet seem positive, dog just sulking giving me her sad look

She will be fine maybe a bit down in the dump's for now but she will soon bounce back.. ...i have had a dog do similar..that ran into a piece of angle iron stuck out of the ground which ripped and put a deep puncture wound in his chest..he was spot on after a few week's.

similar situation with my bitch, but just the skin removed from the muscle - came back with a big flap of it hanging down. Vet said very lucky coz of where it was. She had 10 stiches which she'll be getting out this fri so hopefully all will be good. Hope your dog comes good too.

it really must be a bad week , my friends dog has just had the same thing happen not so lucky , wind pipe got punctured. dog did not make it !!
