Out ferreting again yesterday. Normally I would have finished by now, but i've just got some new permission that's so high up that they have only just started breeding. Only brought the one ferret, half a bag of nets and the spade. It's the same land that Ideation and I have been trying to clear the rabbits off. I approached it from a different side today, as per usual rabbits were running everywhere, mostly dropping into the limestone cracks but one ran to ground in a 5 holer in the top of a small mound. Nets on and ferret collared and in. It was a while before the rabbit shot out and was pursed nicely. Ten minutes later and I had had another 4 out of the warren. I carried on walking after unnetting, lots of rabbits scattering but none going to ground. I dropped down the other side (the one we usually walk up), the rabbits then couldn't go up the cliff so had to go to ground somewhere. A few rabbits ran towards a bit i've never ferreted before so I walked there. The warren here was only about 20 holes, I netted up and sent the ferret in. It took the ferret longer to find the rabbits here but eventually it was cleared and 4 more rabbits were added to the carrier. I had a fair way to walk to get to where I was being picked up, so I decided to pack up with 9 rabbits.

Well done mate some nice land there I wouldn't like to dig a ferret out though with it being lime stone an rockey keep up the good work mate atb stevo

Love it up them dales it looks a lot like the land i have up there we all the limestone rock about cnt beat them rabbits up there get some big uns dont you!
