R. Docks 154
Hopefully one of the badgers will infect a badger hugger (can we abbreviate that to something shorter like bugg.... er????) with TB as the disease is cross communicable from badgers to cattle and from cattle to humans as well! I'm sure it won't be long. There are already cases of bTB infecting pets, so maybe when it starts affecting people more we will get some sense. TB could easily mutate. If that happens then pastuerisation will no longer be effective. Some very interesting stuff about TB on this blog (link).

R. Docks 154
it wont happen til some one changes the law as they are protected the only way the krebs trial happend was that the people doing it were civil servents ! protected from prosacution by being crown excempt under the law but until they change the law it wont happen ! as soon as the cull starts the antis will take it to court !!!!!! they tryed it with the krebs trial !!!!!!!!!!!! The reason that the Krebbs trial was so flawed was that it was designed and run by scientists who knew nothing of real life out in the field. Yes, the antis did try and get it stopped, but as employees of HM The Queen, it was agreed that they all had crown imunity. There is the facility to issue licences to control badgers, and that is the route they will take. The basis for the judicial reviews are more likely to be based around the Bern convention and the possibility of 'pertabation'. Pertibation in the krebbs trial was caused by anti scum stealing badgers and traps and releasing them elsewhere thereby spreading TB outside the trial areas. Whatever happens, don't expect the average countryman to be able to kill badgers anytime soon. The licenses will only be issued to carefully vetted individuals who are part of a larger organisation, and any work carried out will have to be done to a strict SOP laid out by DEFRA and NE.
