I used to shoot them in a pokey .22 Feinwerk Sport in the 70 and 80,s it was a very flat shooting accurate pellet if your gun had a choked barrel I remember it wasent as good in Bsa or webley barrels.

No Mr Mole, the era I am quoting is the 70,s and 80,s in those days the british .22 calibre was bigger 5.6 m/m than the 5.5m/m German rifles plus I dont think BSA barrels was choked in that time period.

Wellfound, I can only quote my own experience from the 1950,s onwards, certainly .22 British barrels were 5.6 in those ealy days and the most acurate pellets used to be Eley Wasp 5.56 and some of the other brit pellets. the Mercury and other BSA rifles I had in those times didnt like the .22 Hobby and some of the other German pellets I remember trying to push 5.56 Wasp pellets into a FWB .22 Sport I had in that time and it was so tight I used to use a 2"" nail to seat the pellet cos my thumb was so sore!

Tron are you by any chance typing your post using a 'Chromebook' because every time you type eighty, you are getting a symbol.  I use one all the time and the symbol I get when I type 80 .  I just typed eighty, drives me bloody mad.

Carry on men, just me having a quiet moment ? (I didn't type 8+0 then)
