The lonesome boatman 20
no problem stig have always enjoyed your post as you seem a knowledgeable dog man, so don't let them get you down. Have done the search, but cant find any real Gould line dogs as i always thought Mr Gould bred Smithy, seems not. Simon is a half cross Middleton, and Black Jacks staff bred. Quote Link to post
harvey d 43
Lads has it always been this way with BN being in it for the money, or was it different years ago? If he's always been a peddlar how ever did his name get so big? Because a fool and his money is easy parted!! He mass produced pups as did ken gould, anyone could have done what they did at that time, however ken goulds dogs have left a legacy behind them, smithy and simon can still be traced back in most consistant working lines today.......but brian nuttall has no basis or foundation in his dogs to claim the same. I've met both of these men and been their yards numerous times over the years and seen umteen dogs direct of each men, nuttall terriers have NOTHING to offer serious dog men. Dillydog I'm sure ive heard most of the obscene things done over the years and his claims to have bred this that and the other. was smithy out of a nuttall bitch by a lakeland dog ? Daftest thing ive ever heard. If that statement was true then the basis of gouldys yard was nuttall yes?? Then please explain why ken goulds dogs look nothing like the mouse hounds nuttall breeds? As gouldy inbred a true nuttall type would appear would throw......it didn't resemble ANYTHING of nuttalls dogs so its obviously more bullshit from didrikson. Smithy was ped unknown! Nuttall even try to claim he bred harcombes JACK dog.......he's a first class melon! pedigree unknown where have i heard that before Quote Link to post

blaireaut 1
Think my dog originates from Nuttal lines. Not really sure though. Goes to show that I don't realy give a rat's ass if it's Booth, Nuttal, Gould or what have you. Since I'm looking for a worker I'm more interested in what a dog (or it's dam and sire) does in the field rather than the name of the bloodlines. But that's me. 1 Quote Link to post

The lonesome boatman 20
toddy? dont think his dame was Mr Goulds or Mr Nuttals Line from what ive read on hear, so Toddy Smithy pedigree unknown x Stacey? Duke could he be the start of Mr Goulds line, and if so how did he work, and what bitches was he put to? Quote Link to post
Hickory 54
Pardon me for asking but what difference does a line make? There've been so many bred from those so called lines I doubt the differences are recognizable. Isn't what's important the dog that's in front of you? Gould, Nuttall, Booth, or Captain Kangaroo wouldn't make a rat's ass to me if the dog was what I want, fine. If not, then the Pope could have bred the dog and I still wouldn't have it.
