:no: some of the stupid emails sent in to this site are unbelievable one p***k says that the calfs should not have been shot but sent to a sanctuary. A F*****G SANCTUARY !!! and whose gonna feed em then?? the arsepca?? this programme should be compulsary viewing in schools to show kids what a f****d up country this is. like the bit when the bloke came to help the farmer fill in the forms.you could tell the farmer was unsure what to say about the badgers as if he had said he had them he probably would have to leave that particular field alone to protect them PATHETIC !!! :censored: :censored: :censored:

It's very sad how this government treats the farmers, well thats what you get when you have a bunch of urban monkeys in charge. They can only view the countryside as a place to visit at weekends, f**k the life of people whose familys have been farming for centuries.

They should do what they do in Australia and promote our own produce, everybody should try and buy local and go for quality not just price.

any farmers i know will be in the red for the rest of their lives,paying off what they owe on ever decreasing incomes.a nice shiney jeep looks nice but it's the bank that owns it.

some of them are working second jobs to keep afloat.

A good programe i thought,shame most of the general public will never see it,some very good points made and good explanations as to why british farming is in the state it is,nice to see a programe from the view point of those in the countryside instead of what the townies think its like

Have to agree, people see farmers driving about in 4x4`s and think they are made of ££££`s but what they fail to realise is the 4x4 is a tool of the job and not just for the school run 200yds down the road , there are not many fiat Pandas can pull a fully loaded cattle trailer for 20 mile to summer grazing :no:

that programme sums up this f :censored: d up country,why is u.k fillet steak so expensive after all thers no shipping costs etc etc,its because of all the paper work and govt bollocks these farmers have to put up with,i was looking at strawberries in sainsburys last summer and it said to my shock ''product of scotland'' well at least thats a bonus,but i live in kent why the f :censored: k are supermarkets buying them from scotland when they are farmed here.and them whole chickens for 1.99 ,they forget to tell people they are bad for you pumped full of fat as one t.v programme pointed out.i work for several farmers and some of them are selling a field here and thier to carry on doing what the father handed down to them,or converting the lovely old milking sheds or barns to offices,wheres the tradition going?

no mate i buy the cheap stuff to totally ruin england :icon_eek: i dont buy any meat products from supermarkets,i know where my grub comes from thanks for your concern .
