Very reluctantly parting with this strong wee bitch, due to the fact that I regularly work away from home and despite the efforts of my wife she is finding the strain of looking after the kids and my dogs increasingly difficult and to be honest she cant handle this little bitch, whose a bit of a houdini and has caused her a few problems with the neighbours, i.e 2 dead cats, 2 dead chickens and a scrap with my neighbours collie dog ( just the other day) which came off worse. To be honest Im sick of her wingin about the dog whenever I phone home. And for the sake of her peace of mind and mine Ive decided to re-home her.

 

Bitch is 3 yrs old and has a few digs to her credit the hardest being 8 ft deep and 4 hrs to ground. She bushes for fun and will work any cover. For her age she has had no where near the amount of work I feel she should have had and for that I blame myself with working away alot and me missing the begining of the season just past with a back injury. She is by no means the complete article and would benefit with some shallower easier spots to get her settled and they certainly dont exist on the ground I hunt.

 

She has some faults, definately not good with stock,cats,ferrets,chickens etc. She is generally dog friendly but doesnt like collies or small white fluffy muts. Had to dig her from a rabbit warren once (my fault letting her bush for the lurchers) and once this past season when she was coming into season she failed to mark an earth which later proved to be occupied.

 

Make no mistake, this bitch is not a cull if I thought she was she would not be on here getting offered to someone, I am genuinely sick to be parting with her, who gets her is far more important to me than anythng else. Shes not fancy bred just working stuff PatxLakey. Im away at work at the moment so cant be called but if you are genuinely interested in giving this bitch a good working home then pm your number and I will call you as soon as I can. Havnt pup a price up as I will agree terms with the right person once Ive spoken with them money isnt my objective here, a long term working home is. NO Messers orTimewasters.

You either got the Bitch from someone who doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to 'docking', she was done by a Vet or you got her from someone who didn't want her to go to a 'Show home'? Strong Bitch, 'Doggy' type of Bitch, which I like, but with my Leg and after years and years of going up and down the Country I will pass on her. Bit of a bad time of year to be bringing on a novice, they get frustrated with the way the prey behaves.......anyway, good luck with the sale. Similar to the type I have seen a few times around from the Loch Lomond area, in years gone by.
