tegater 789
Just come back from a few hours ferreting, over the other side of the hill, and I think it will probably be my last of the season unless, I get asked to clear some out from anywhere. Started off promising, got 7 nice bunnies none looking as if they were carrying young from the first warren, but then did several smaller warrens of about 15-20 holes each, and it was baby city. The little buggers where in and out of the nets, some of the older ones where running off, while the youngest where sitting in the mouths of the holes with the odd one meeting the inevitable land sharks coming out of the holes. Luckily the 2 small jills I was working always kill and move on. Ended up with 4 more nice rabbits over the next couple of hours, and ended up with 11 in total. What was amazing was that there where none about last week, and 6 days later they are all over the place. Its been a good season for me this year, with no mixy at all, lets hope next season is the same. Quote Link to post

tegater 789
Cheers Max and Stevo, I will be gutted when I get a bad one, and I am sure it is only matter of time. The only thing that saves us up here are that rabbits dont seem that widespread, and I think this might help prevent the spread of mixy. I am just lucky having one very good spot amongst smaller clusters of average ones, and quite poor ones. Atb. Quote Link to post
jhiggins 48
Its the same with us, loads of little ones slipping the nets! nothing more frustrating. Still, had a good season with no mixi and lots of bunnies. look forward to autumn Quote Link to post
