ftm 3,357
i was under the impression that only the rabbit family tree could catch mixy and im sure a hare comes under the deer side of things may be wrong though -ive never saw a hare with mixy
border lad 1,047
Hares do not catch MYXIE, in the mid fifties, when Myxie was ravaging the rabbit population, it never , never touched the Brown Hare, in modern day crop spraying, I have seen a couple of Hares that were partially blinded with the chemical, from the sprayer, remember they are spraying with up to a 75feet spray bar, and when the Hare is clapped his eyes are wide open looking all around himself,
BLACKWATER... 157
worst thing for leverets young hares is when they spray the tattie feilds to kill the shaws . the acid burns them and everything else at times should be outlawed

juckler123 707
Seen a few hares with scabby noses and pussed up eyes crop sprays and diesel in puddles a vet mate of mine reckoned can remember hares in a few places with chalk bones as well legs that would break when they were running. Dont know if they still use it but there was a crop spray they were allowed to use that if the crop was eaten within 24 hrs it used to kill them ive found them next to their prints in soft sand stone dead they used to spray the winter seed with it at a time of year when the hares would be travelling to it as there wasnt much better fodder about.
