first gun advice

hi all looking to get my 1st air rifle i realy want a bolt action rifle apart from that havent got any ideas on what to get can you give me some advice i dont mind saveing up for the right gun thanks all

Hi Mike,

When I was young (when God was a lad) it was all spring power rifles and alot of the older air gun guys say that it was down to learning to shoot with these that they are as good with the pre charged guns today. You get to learn about recoil with springers that doesn't exist with pre charged guns.

Many of the guys on this forum will have "served their apprenticeship" on the BSA and early Weirach Models even doing their own maintainance and changing springs,seals pistons etc.

I may be biased and I shoot with a pre charged rifle myself but what about a Weirach HW 95K? a nice light gun with a brilliant trigger. But no bolt action, Sorry.

Hope you buy something that gives you have as much joy as my old super meteor and airsporter.

looking to spend around the 250 mark will add to it if the right gun caurt my fancy realy do want a bolt action for ease in the field when reloading

me [bANNED TEXT] has a airarms tx200 hc mk3 .22 with a tasco 3-9*50 illuminated scope silencer bag pellets targets £300 would this be a good first gun

hi all think i have my sights set on a hw 100 .177 secondhand so will be saveing up for sometime say like 50 quid a week i think couldnt justyfie 700-800 on a air rifle so 400 is my limit
