jasper65 6
any body got any scales for sale after old typ not eletronic.in stoke on trent area willing to travel short distance cheers.pm with details seen some of the old Balance type kitchen scales with weights on Ebay Bullx, most come with a bowl but easily converted Never Used any other scales than the old Balance type and always weighed in Pounds and Ounces. Can't get used to all this weighing in grams on the electronic type when I know I can weigh within a quarter of a ounce on the Balance type...... edited to say I just seen these on Ebay at Burton On Trent, probably could do with some more weights though mate by the looks of it... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRADITIONAL-BALANCE-SCALES-/110835872100?pt=UK_Kitchen_Accessories&hash=item19ce553164 Quote Link to post

waidmann 105
i use the electronic ones , a set of salter kitchen scales (about £20) which i have coverted with some nylon bars (t perch) they work very well in grams and imperial ( shows lbs, ounces and a decimel of the ounces i.e. 1lb 12.8 ounces which i found unusual lol). i make a ritual of checking the scales every now and again with something i know the weight of ( different bags of sugar are normally very precise believe it or not) just to be sure they are reading properly ( you never know if the battery is getting low etc etc) i have changed the battery for the coming season anyway. waidmannsheil!!
