simiddz 0
Hello All, I have purchased a new tx200hc mk3 .177 and had it chronographed at the weekend. It is producing about 760fps with AA field 4.51. The thing is I'm a bit concerned that it is a little under power for a new rifle, all comments and reviews that I've read have indicated that they should produce a higher out of the box power. Should I be worried and investigate the lack of power or should I be patient and give it some time to bed in?? Also is there anything I can do to improve the power without having to invest in a V mach kit?? Quote Link to post
wedge2409 98
According to chair gun with the weight of pellet that you are using its a little over 11ft/lb so i wouldn't worry mate.Given time for your rifle to bed itself in ,and the power might increase a little more but more importantly be more consistent. simiddz 0
On that point what is the key to consistency and repeatability? Quote Link to post
Daveo 61
I bought a new tx in .22 a few years ago, it was doing around 8 1/2 ftlb so I stripped it to see what was what. I was amazed to find the grease from the factory was full of swarfe and machining debris. I contacted AA by email but they never commented. I stripped it and re-lubed it correctly and it was smooth but never acheived 10 ft/lb until I put a V-mach in it. Then it did 16 ft/lb buts thats another story. Quote Link to post
