Blackbriar 8,569
,Labour spend any profits inherited by outgoing Conservative goverments, usually lasting around first tenure in control Im no fan of new labour, but statements like that make me laugh.. We were in fecking debt when labour came to power in '97' there were no profits to inherit! Statements like that just reinforce the false view that whatever a current government do to f**k it up, it can always be blamed on the government before it.. I'm glad to see a large proportion of the voters are waking up to the fact, and hold the hope that next time round they turn out in force and vote for 'none of the above.' UKIP is the way forward IMO.. likely you are right mate but they sure as hell left us unable to decide to try summat new ain't they? we aint got the backbone for it imho as a country,I would love to see the ukip get a chance mate, ffs I was even a little chuffed when the BNP got a few cheeky results prior to last election and I hate that sort of trash politics, what am saying is we now live in a new era, use the technology and see what people really want, hold politicians accountable, instead of treading over the same old shite try summat diffent, the likes of cons and lab ate all self serving bunch of cnuts and we all well know that, lets face it most em criminals of one type or another,I wouild not allow any of them into my home at all ffs its plain to see innit lol maybe put some one like richard branson in charge of the coffers and use technology to resolve issues, get out of europe and start to be british again that might help, sod the rest of the world for once lets look after number one, then maybe a few year down the line we can raise our heads and begin to help others Branson ! WILF 46,585
I for one will be sad to see a true patriot like Maggie die, she broke the communists and in my opinion should have had the traitor Scargill hung like the soviet infiltrator he was! Still, each to their own Patriot ???? She made millions unemployed and farmed our once-mighty industries out to foreigners. You want examples? Okay, here goes.70,000 miners (since you brought them up!) thrown on the scrapheap, while we pay over the odds for coal imported from Poland. Tens of thousands of car factory workers laid off, to the point that the British car industry is extinct, while paying massive subsidies to Japanese and French manufacturers, to set up plants here. British Steel sold to Indian investors, our water suppliers sold to French speculators, BT and British Gas floated on the Stock Market and sold back to us - the people who already owned them ! Had enough yet ??? I've got loads more and I haven't even started on the succession of spineless b*****ds who have followed her ! Patriot, my a**e !!!!! NUM British Leyland Nationalised industry All hotbeds of left wing die hard socialist communism........all been said before, but it don't work.

Swampy 147
thats him on the news now cutting child benifet what next torries there alrite I think once a family-couple earn more than 40k they shouldnt get Child Benefit. It should only be for those that need it. Also Pensioners with yearly Pensions of More than 30k if single or 40k per Couple shouldnt get a Winter Fuel allowance or a Free Bus Pass. Again Only those that need this help on the lowest Thresh Hold of pensions. So just because you earn 40k + You get all your benefits cut? Why? To earn that you'd have had to havepaid for it. everyone gets hit by recession whether your on 20k or 40k. Everyone slags the rich off but it always seems to be the rich who pay for the poor. I've read some right bollox on this thread. Blair/Brown were never Labour. They were a bunch of university educated social engineers. Only out to better themselves with a clever and effective plan to decieve the public. "Labour" hasn't been labour since clause 4 was abolished. Anyone who voted for them were conned! commie ning 2
scothunter 12,609
got to agree with wilf there.most of those unions were in the pocket of russian paymasters. how many boys outings did the trade unions take to mother russia. i wouldnt have let them back in the country lol regarding maggie though, you could say she was all for britain, but only a certain part of it.she treated the people up north and scotland like shit.granted no c**t in scotland voted tory,so some would say why should she care, but as a leader you cant choose one part of the uk and f**k the rest. scots having to pay poll tax a year before anyone else.no the tories have only ever been interested in folk with money and big businesses.even the Falklands war as much it enriched my patriotisim towards this nation. As far as maggie was concerned it was a gamble, she and her party were on the road out and this conflict would either save her or sink her.but our boys did the bizz and she rode in to power on the pride thats was sweeping the nation. i did agrree with some of her stances, but any good she ever did was lost when she treated the vast majority of brits with contempt.not all miners were commis and rabble rousers.they were fighting for thier future and all they got for thier trouble was battered.never liked scargill though he used his fellow miners for a personal crusade against thatcher and quite foolishly believed he could bring this country down, that is a big no no.have your political battles and personal vendettas by all means, but the minute you put this nations neck on the block in your quest, then you lose my respect.no im afraid i dont remember many happy times in the 80s.

Blackbriar 8,569
well if history has taught me anything, its marches in this country do f**k all.im not knocking people who get off thier arse and do it btw,but the war ralley and the hunting ralley didnt change thier minds.they prob watched out thier office windows and mocked those people. Hate to say it,but the french know how to make there goverment do u turns.unfortunaetly the brits dont, and even if they did they would just send in the riot squads and the goverments propaganda machine would spring into action.spinning it that "an element hell bent on rioting and causing unrest forced them to take that action." i really dont know if there is a solution, were never gonna get shot of them, but maybe if there is a major swing in the next election,it just may make the parties sit up and realise,"hey the masses arent taking this shit anymore". might make them think twice before treating us like something they stepped in,and more importantly not welshing on thier election pledges.you would need to be off your rocker to believe anything they write in thier manefestos anyway. Right again, Scottie ! What's really needed is people with the courage of their beliefs, who are not satisfied with words and idle promises - people who are actually willing to do something !
scothunter 12,609
Ive always had this wee theory about incoming prime ministers. They sweep into power with these ideas and policies for the greater good of the nation, and to be fair some prob had good intentions.however i think the first day they are in office,a side door in the PM office opens and in walks these grey suits with the comment. "good morning prime minister, were here to tell you how this really works"!
