your most probably right , but not in my case, im not knocking johnathan , just saying i would love to read his (anyones) books , but i dont justify the money and i cant really afford to. some one off this site offered me a swap of my lithium battery worth £160 in the for sale section for mr darcys signed limited book of dogs and deer . jesus paddy doesnt take a genius to work out what goes on in this buisness. if this is now what the book is worth im sure mr darcy will have a few spare for his friends to get rid of, now the value of this limited edition book is sky high and i dont blame him i would do the same. wonder how many he has on ebay his self . fetching mega bucks . fair play- the big rush to get one of these rare books , now were out of stock . there now worth mega bucks and the rest of the batch comes out to be sold at £100 plus. mr darcy your a genius

have always said the same about limited editions its all about the money

there was a big gap in lurchers and terrier game all the same and some

past ones where terrible but he can write with less bulshit than others i think

shame about the prices cant see why he does not bring out second editions

if he was not happy with way over the top prices some books go if it was me

i would bring out second and third editions of books which might discourage

people buying his books simply for profit on his back .i think his books would

be great for young lads learning their trade at hunting shame they cant afford

them

I tend to agree about Darcys books of late, of dogs and deer I got for a Christmas present and thought it was a lot of pi*h apart from the photos, in fact I didn't even read the last two chapters, personally I think that the last two limited editions have been grossly over rated especially for the price

I don't think anyone is being forced into buying one of JD's books so if you have a problem with him or his books the simple solution is don't buy them! Take them for what they are! A bit of dog craic to read and pass a few hours in-between doing more important chores..the guy can certainly write of that there is no doubt? Are his books the best out there? Personally at this moment in time I'd say they probably are? That old saying "you can please some of the people most of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time" certainly rings true here lol. ATB Andy
