Spence75 18
Hi mate im from South Wales myself but have fished a few matches in Talacre, during the winter months you dont have to cast that far for good bags of whiting, dabs and the odd codling on mackrel and blacks or lug in general, be wary of the tide though as it comes it quite quickly and can catch you out. Ratter69 83
You might struggle if your fishing in daylight, but Mostyn isn't far away, there is an area of the estuary at Mostyn that has sea defences made out of huge bolders, you can see it clearly from the road, climb over them and you will see a large dog leg made out of the same stones, fish at the side of that, it will protect you from the tide no matter which way it is running, you just have to pick which side to stand on according to how the waters moving, codling, flounder, whiting , eel, can all be caught here, fish are pretty scarse all over north wales at this time of year, good luck! Jordb543 9
im not far from prestatyn, splash point is a good place to fish, its in rhyl, on the front right at the end of the promanade if you go that way towards prestatyn, or if your coming from prestatyn, you will go past rhyl golf club, then the crossroads just after it, turn right at the crossroads, youll go up a hill and the road turns left, thats the place, instead of going left towards rhyl park up, walk onto the grass and head right, past the house on the corner with the long drive, just head down onto the beach, fishing down there is always pretty good i know lads who have had all sorts of good fishing trips all along the beach right from prestatyn/rhyl area down to pensarn/llandulas way, just depends on the day alot of the time round here.
