Just out of interest..

Recommended Posts

The land owner of my permission wer I shoot today took me to a few fox earths.. He asked could I clear them out as he will be building on the ground the earths are on in the next few weeks.. As I don't have terriers and the earth looks like it runs straight under a concrete public road it got me wondering if it's possible to make a fox bolt? Rather than it getting burried alive haha??

The problem is, the aformentioned den leads under a road, and if the terrier bays the fox into a stop end he wont be able to dig, because of the road. So he was asking if there is an alternative method so as not to have to pick axe the road if the dog needs digging to.

If the landowners building a house very close to this, I'd say the chances are any Charlie that's using the earth, will mosie on due to this. especially when theres machinery in digging footings out and whatever more to follow. The animals of farthing wood spring to mind lmao. Atb
