longy0710 2
Well the wait begins, application went in today so fingers crossed it wont take too long. Cabinet being stored at the girlfriends house as my mum doesnt want guns in the house! Made sure this was ok with the firearms dept first. So hopefully South Yorkshire Police will be good as I have heard some bad stories but none so far about S.Yorks. Cant wait, already window shopping!!! Will keep everyone updated. lexikia 5
I applied for mine in mid January and received in 6 weeks. The interview was very relaxed, he was only a young guy but very friendly. Much easier than i thought. Quote Link to post
longy0710 2
Was hoping for slightly quicker than 6 weeks but I could live with it. Thanks for the feedback on their turnround time though! Longy Quote Link to post
lexikia 5
It was 3 weeks before cheque was cashed, kept checking my bank on line like you do, to make sure they had received it. Had my SGC 2 weeks now and still not bought a Shotgun, fancy the Beretta Silver Pigeon 1, not sure whether to get 30 or 32" barrells. Told missus it's only £400, she is not happy with this, god knows what she'd do if she found out it's £1270. Quote Link to post

andyrose 8
Wish it took derbyshire police 6 weeks, sent mine the begining of january. Rang them the other day just to enquire that they'd recieved it ok, obviously i appolagised for disturbing them and said i realised they were very busy. Apparently there just doing january's applications now and i can excpect a call from my fao in the next fortnight to arrange a visiting time. So by my calculations i can hope for my licence in probably a month Quote Link to post
