jill and jill or hob and jill...

Recommended Posts

thinking of getting another ferret to keep the jill company .

the jill is approx 18months old , what would be the best choice .

read conflicting stories of same sex / mixed sex , whats the best idea sex wise age wise to put with her.

would both be kept in same hutch .

thanks

well unless you want to breed, then another jill, they will live well together and work together

you can always loan a castrated hob from someone to put with the jill's when in "season"

Totally personal choice if you have two jills you will either have to breed from them or look at other methords of bringing them out of season ,where as with a hob and a jill get him snipped and they can live together all year round and you only have to watch out for him being too rough with her during the act .And if you go for a male , female combination the hob will be a bit stronger for working rabbits
