Ryan Howlett Thomas 4 Posted March 1, 2012 Report Share Posted March 1, 2012 my colliexgrey has just started lamping. she did well the first time i took her out and caught on her first run on the lamp, and then caught 3 other on different days. but resonantly she hasnt been catching them, she puts to much effort into her first strike and she carnt turn with them, then has too much catching up to do. i took her out last night and she ran about 7 and didnt catch 1, and by the end she seemed prity fed up with it all. i dont whant her to get dis hartend. sean925 2 Posted March 1, 2012 Report Share Posted March 1, 2012 Brought on a whippet bitch last couple of years was lifting rabbits ferreting and a bit of lamping same thing at about 14-15 months running bunnies but not a good catch rate stopped her seeing bunnies for about 2 or 3 weeks just walked road and feilds where there was no rabbits then took her lamping again she hasn't looked back at that age it's all training and learning a wee break can do a world of good Quote Link to post
