A give em a break, money was nt as plenty full years ago when real terrier work was in its prime. If people managed im sure so can a dog once a dog has a warm bed and scraps from dinner they ll be fine.

Your right it doesnt cost a lot to feed a dog, but that would be 2 dogs as he is also asking for a lurcher as well.

Its not the fact that he is after a couple of dogs that grates on me, its the 'young hunter' card that is played everytime he wants something new ferrets/air rifles and now dogs.

Whats next? 'young hunter needs a double kennel and run' or 'please help a young hunter take his dog to the vet'

good luck finding a dog mate i have been there when money was tight when i was a youngster, if i had any pups i would give you one for nothing for been honest

Am sure we have all been there at some point, my point is that when I was in a similar place I just didnt get one let alone 2 and it never would have crossed my mind to ask others to provide me with one.

I have all the time in the world for genuine people starting out that want help, I just dont think he is. Which is why when I read a young hunter needs some ferrets thread a few years back I gave him some kits I had just bred only for them to be no longer with him a few weeks later. Since then every post i see with his name on it is asking for a free or cheap new air rifle or other gear and now its dogs.

I wouldnt want someone to think they were doing a good thing by giving this lad a dog only to find that it had been sold on a couple of weeks later

Good luck mate sure someone will have something.. Don't think it's good tho just wanting any. On a tight budget you will probly only get someone else's unwanted crap. Maybe saving up building a kennel and having a good think about what dog your after.. I'm only 18 so not much experience myself but I have made the mistake of taking someone else's crap on when money was tight.. Not saying everything u will be offered is crap but u seem desperate and anyone chanting kennel space and shut of a crap dog will dive at u.. Just wait get some cash together and as I said have a think of what type of dog u want

All the best mate Ellis. :)

Hi guys I and 2 mates are looking for some permission for some rabbit hunting in cornwall but can’t find where to ask. I and my mates are all greatly skilled with air rifles from just sitting in the back of our gardens with targets roughly 50-100yards and want to move onto small game so if anyone knows of anyone in cornwall that would give us permission please let me know.

Hi, we're having a sudden rat infestation on our small holding in North Cotswolds. Wondering if there are any people around with ratting dogs who want a bit of work?
