WILF 46,875
Well Wilfy spoken like a true Tory...I have never advocated dancing around anyone blue black red or purple gay or straight....a very simplistic view of life almost reminicent of Norman Tebbit's "get on yer bike speech".....there's a lot of wasters out there of every race, creed or religion.....and the view on others is always so much different when your looking down and not up. I have seen the world from both ends matey, in the recession of the early 90s I was hod carrying for 3 brick layers for £15 a day.....that gave my old mum some house keeping and gave me a couple of quid for myself. Loads of lads said I was mental to work for that doing that type of work but I was happy to have it.......the lads that said they wouldn't work for that, guess what they did? They stayed home and stayed skint! It's got f**k all to do with looking down, it's called being realistic! On a more serious note it's commendible that you had a good work ethic that was no doubt installed by your parents as you were growing up....as for being realistic how many would do what you did and things are far worse now than when you were working for the brickies. We've got families were unemployment is generational, kids leaving school with no hope of finding work, no incentives, no qualifications.....we're in a Jeremy Kyle culture and a throw away nation and the people in charge of this country do f**k all about it....everything is dog eat dog now and everyman for themself....it wasn't always like that. As I said it's easy to be critical when your doing ok and have carved out a niche for yourself, not so easy when your trying to get your foot on that first rung of the ladder.....but not to worry we all know the above will be resolved when all the immigrants are sent back home I can't disagree with you on much there, but that is after nearly 20 years of liberal minded verging on socialist government by the conservatives under John Major and then Blair.........think about it!!!
