when i take my lurcher old hes 9 months old to a rugby field or mountain nd let him he jst run round circles all the tym then comes back when hes tired how can i get him out of it before taking him lamping incase he does it out when working? or is it to late?

at 9 month hes still a puppy, just stick to basic training,hes got his whole life ahead of him no need to rush

let him be, he's just a pup letting off steam. don't try to call him while he's running or you will ruin his recall, wait till he's tired and coming to you under his own steam, and THEN call him and give him loads of praise. work on his obedience especially recall over the summer, and he should be ready start of next season

my 2 dogs do that when im just out for a mouch. all he is doing is letting of steam. should be sound when you start lamping him
