smudgersmith 2
Thinking of getting another Terrier, already have a JR and a Border (16 weeks-old). I am a keen ferreter and do a bit of ratting, My wife and I run a livery yard in Hampshire so there is plenty going on for the dogs. I want a good Terrier type who can work when required and is best suited to this environment. Any ideas. ! Quote Link to post

smudgersmith 2
Thanks lads. However I am a Terrier man, love the long dogs but it's the Terriers I have a passion for. Thanks anyway. Steve Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
If its just rats and rabbits then I don't really think it matters which breed............... Quote Link to post
smudgersmith 2
... and a few Foxes. Quote Link to post
johnnyboy28 1
If you mean all above ground get a straight Beddlington then mate from working stock/lines Quote Link to post
smudgersmith 2
You never know what may pop-up. !! Only had 8 foxes over the past 3 years, all above ground. My JR struggled on two occassions and come off with a few bad scars. Quote Link to post
borderboy 80
Get a small lurcher, you will have tons more success with it on the rabbits , and theres still time to put the border pup on foxes... Also if there in the house a third dog changes everything Edited April 30, 2007 by borderboy Quote Link to post
