Yet suspciously fresh and well maintaned for a Sough ..... Soughs should be found around proper, organised Coursing fields and who's going to be running such meets these days? Yet what illegal hare hunter would want to afford the quarry an escape route? Bottom line? F*cked if I can work it out! But what a fasinating thing! At first sight, they appear to be very amateurish 'cubby's' placed in a natural run thru,..to accept some kind of spring trap. It is a straight through tube and on the public footpath, dog shows no interest in it so doubt it's ever been used by game.....yet! I shall take a closer look next time I'm out that way. I noticed a new sign in the area ‘Conservation area etc’… As you can see, bottom left of pic’, it’s at the end of a hedge by a large opening into the field.. Viewed from the opposite angle you can see a large opening through to the other field.. The openings viewed from both sides.. And the view through, as you can see nought has been using this tube!
