or maybe the cat owner should take better care of his pet? its to easy letting your pet out the door, and then demanding that other people have control over their animals

cats kill something like 400 000 small birds each year up here, they are as big a pest to the fauna as the fox is

they are vermin , in a field with permo sounds like fair game digger.

Lurcher330,bulljack,digger and francolin, you're missing the whole point of my post,no body gives a sh*t what you hunt or kill accidently, JUST DO'NT POST IT UP FOR ALL TO SEE as it reflects poorly on us all when read by the power's that be,think before you post up ammunition for the anti-hunt lobbyists as even irelands right to hunt will change eventually,20yrs ago we all laughed at the thought of banning hunting with dogs in britain but now its with us,don't hurry your own demise,WM

Wirral,i had no issue with your post, but R.Docks saying if your dog can't be called of a cat it should not be off the lead, and what i was putting across was i dont and wouldn't break my dogs to cats ,over here they have as status as a fox,and i wouldn't go out to kill someones pet ,but if it is on my property or my permission and they get flushed they are fair game ,the same as if a farmer see's a dog on his land worrying stock ,he has the right to kill it

perfect recall, have u ever worked black dogs, come out of that hole blacky dont think so.

No mate but i will be when i get my terrier. The recall is standard across the different sports though and the bad image things like this give reflects on the whole shooting/dog community.

Digger- got Springers, JRT pup, hopefully a bitch when my mates Russell bitch gives birth in a few weeks. Good choice of dog or not?

you got a lot to learn about terriers bud.

thread to start with should have been removed as there is nothing to gain except bad publicity when posting such a pointless question. The sad thing is there are quite a few people ln here who have no comon sense and fail to see the harm and unwanted attentionto our sport..Think before you post. For those of you that think the question was worthwhile, do us all a favour and find a new hobby

the guy actually wasnt looking for a cat killing thread.

and to quote him......." has any of u lads ever had bad experiences while out doing a bit if use have any storys lets here them... "..........sounds like a worthwhile question from a guy who wasnt bragging.

speak for yourself, your one of the ones that has totally misinterpreted the original post. the guy posted about an unfortunate incident, asking if anyone else had similar unfortunate tales, and in no way was glorifying the killing of cats, so whos uneducated???

and for the record........ i despise cats(they cost me the guts of £2000 in hawks, and caused me to give up falconry) but wouldnt kill one purposely. but shit happens.

i doubt anyone on here has never killed something by accident, be it by gun or dog.

For Hok Boi

Okay im probably wasting my time but il try and put things into context for you ?

Just answer these questions and hopefully you will see the light.

1. What possible good can the details of killing a cat on the internet do for our sport .

2. Do you think this is a good question to post on the world wide web and bodes well for the future of terrier and lurcher owners ?

3. What can digger actually gain from us all sharing our accidents in the field..

4. Do you think we should all share these type of stories on the web

5. Do you think the Chase is on sounds a bit braggish ?

6. How old are you ?

7. If you dont own Birds of prey what fieldsport are you now involved in ?

Just for the record some of diggers posts have been very good but this one for me is utter shite and I really cant understand why anyone would think its worthwhile posting this shit

If after this you still think it was a quality post then I wont waste any more of my time

1. killing cats has nothing to do with the sport, the cat was in the wrong time at the wrong place.

2. the question was regarding other unfortunate events, digger in no way asked about others killing cats.

3. what can any of us really gain from telling stories? in the end we generally learn from our own experiences.

4 theres plenty of stories on here about killing deer hares foxes etc... pre ban my arse lol

5. people speak different in different parts of the uk, so i wont comment on that one.

6. not that its any of your business, but im in my mid 30s

7. fishing shooting ferreting and at the moment bringing on a lurcher pup.

and for the record i dont own any hawks/falcons because a gypsy girl moved in next door with 5 cats, they were climbing all over my mews, and lost a few birds to heart attacks within 10 days. i complained to the owner, but she hit me with the old cats have rights to do what they want shite.

happy????

For those who say you can't stop a Lurcher from chasing/killing a cat, can I say you haven't tried hard enough. I walk my running dogs off the lead where ever I go and if I'd have let my dogs chase cats like they'd like to then I would have cat killers. I have chose not to let them, the same as I have chosen not to let them chase sheep or chickens etc.

Life is complicated enough without the added grief of explaining yourself to angry neighbours or cat owners.

Answer my questions not your version of my question, lol..-

By the way i just looked up what Boi means on wikki ( Details below ) something you want to tell us

Boi (sexual slang) :hmm:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Boi (plural: bois) is a term used within lesbian, gay, bisexual and butch and femme communities to refer to a person's sexual and gender identity.[1][2] In lesbian communities, there is an increasing acceptance of variant gender expression, as well as allowing people to self-identify with labels such as boi.[3][4][5] The term may denote a number of possibilities that are not mutually exclusive:[6]:bad::bye:
