Catcher 1 639
I hate cats but everyone bangs on about 'control your dogs' and then a thread like this comes along. Shouldn't let a dog off the lead without perfect recall, ever. No wonder the sport gets a bad press fook me. Hi bud.No such thing as perfect recall when a lurcher.Starts chasing. 4 Quote Link to post
miroku moocher 140
i had several such instances over the years. all accidental. sometime's shit happens and you can do nowt about it. Quote Link to post
RubyTex 1,957
im talking about it on here because it was an accident simple as that it happens im not bragging about it.how the hell can i work my dogs if there on a lead.the house it ran to was not close to wer i was it was a good distance away and the cat didnt belong to them and there were no other houses about. If you're using dogs off the lead shouldn't their recall be 100%? How you can justify it by saying the cat was in the field where you have permission, so what? Crazy. yea i can call my dogs off 100% talk sence. What are you on about talk sense? You should be able to call your dogs off, what if it chases illegal quarry? 1 Quote Link to post

No mate but i will be when i get my terrier. The recall is standard across the different sports though and the bad image things like this give reflects on the whole shooting/dog community. Digger- got Springers, JRT pup, hopefully a bitch when my mates Russell bitch gives birth in a few weeks. Good choice of dog or not? Quote Link to post

miroku moocher 140
spaniel's are totaly differant to earth dogs and running dogs. spaniels are retrievers . terriers and lurchers are vermin killers. when summat gets up you can forget recall. 2 Quote Link to post
